March 5. The Poeticians – Poetry Brunch

The Poeticians is a choreo-curational event that hosts different choreographic proposals. It is seen as module or installation where pieces, objects, performers can be inserted rather than a performance that executes and performs the same over and over. It is performed inside or in close proximity to Pontus choreographic work and interest in poetry.

For the third time The Poeticians returns to Weld in a shape of brunch. As a final gesture of the performances of The wined escorts the sky, choreographer Pontus Pettersson has invited fellow artist and friends to share this Sunday with food and poetry.

March 5 at 12pm–5pm

    • 12.00. Cat-class with Pontus Pettersson, if that’s not your thing there is food in the foyer and nice vibe to chill with.

    • 13.00. Hagar Tenenbaum + Sophie Erlandsson

    • 14.00. Dinis Machado + Buktalar Michelle (Michelle Hammenfeldt and Iris Smeds) + Rhymes of Pleasure (Nefeli Oikonomou, Mira Mutka and Aleksander Giorgiev)

    • 15.30. Beauty and the Beast (Halla Olafsdottir and Amanda Apetrea) + Shiv Kotecha

This Sunday will also be the launch of the poetry book ”Writing Wounds to Heal”, a documentation of Pontus poetry and clothes project that he does with invited photographers. It is an ongoing project that with this launch presents the work of photographers Märta Thisner and Luis Rodriguez.

For this special event there will be a Korean brunch by Emma Kim Hagdahl (kokimomchi) as well as poetry by:
Nefeli Ikonomou, Buktalar-Michelle/Michelle Hammenfeldt, Amanda Apetrea/Beauty and the Beast, Shiv Kotecha, Hagar Tenenbaum, Mira Mutka, Aleksandar Giorgiev, Sophie Erlandsson, Halla Olafsdottir/Beauty and the Beast, Dinis Machado

The Poeticians – Poetry Brunch is made possible through the support by The Swedish Arts Grant Committee and by Weld, part of Pontus Petterssons project Poetic Procedures.
