Goldfish is Meant for Dying

Rudi Skotheim Jensen

Swedish premiere: October  20,  7 pm

Goldfish is Meant for Dying, by the Norwegian performance artist Rudi Skotheim Jensen, is a lecture performance that mixes dance, PowerPoint, philosophy, circus, video and performance art. Goldfish is Meant for Dying premieres on October 16 in Oslo.

Goldfish are considered to be of little value, which might be because we know so little about these fascinating ornamental fish.  This lecture performance explains why goldfish are so important to mankind and humanity. Here we see the history and diversity of goldfish, diving deep into their psyche and mankind’s love for this creature. Looking at the goldfish with new eyes enables us to see the world from a new perspective. Can the small and humble goldfish really change the world and mankind – changing our view of ourselves and how we relate to others? With a broad smile, the answer given in this performance is a big Yes!
